Designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1948, this supremely comfortable chair combines two manufacturing techniques that had previously defeated them – the bent and welded wire used in the base, and a sculptured plastic shell seat.
Timelessly appealing, the chair has a high flexible back with good 'give' and a deep seat pocket supported by an elegant Eiffel tower base, as inspired by the original design. Crafted from injection-moulded ABS and chrome-plated steel wire.
An icon of innovative construction.
